PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER (PLC) ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC control systems for industrial automation equipment and machinery.
• Perform PLC programming, modification, testing, and debugging to ensure smooth machine operations.
• Develop and maintain HMI (Human Machine Interface) and SCADA systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and automation system faults.
• Conduct installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of automated machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Work closely with the engineering and production teams to improve machine efficiency and productivity.
• Identify opportunities for automation improvements and implement suitable technical solutions.
• Provide technical support and resolve machine breakdowns or operational issues.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and PLC program backups.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Proficient in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and control system integration.
• Familiarity with PLC brands such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider.
• Knowledge of HMI, SCADA, servo motors, sensors, inverters, and industrial control systems.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Independent, responsible, and able to work under minimal supervision.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to travel or work overtime when required.

Preferred Skills:

• Industrial automation and manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of robotic systems and automated production lines.
• Experience with electrical panel wiring and control system installation.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, or PROFINET.

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
