My client, a leader in automotive industry, is looking for a hands-on communications professional to support external communications across a diversified group of businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with relevant business, automotive, mobility, technology and lifestyle media
• Identify timely story angles, pitch to journalists and follow up on coverage opportunities
• Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, briefing notes, talking points and other external communications materials
• Support the planning and delivery of Group-level external communications campaigns and media activities
• Prepare concise coverage reports and highlight useful insights and opportunities for future activity

Requirements:

• Degree qualified with 8+ years of public relations or media relations within automotive or a related industry
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics in a clear and engaging manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact positively and professionally at all levels
