Role Description This full-time, on-site Operation & Risk Analyst role is based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The analyst will monitor daily trading and operational activities, identify potential risks, and support the implementation of risk controls and mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include performing risk assessments, analyzing financial and operational data, preparing reports for management, and assisting in the improvement of internal processes and workflows. The role also involves collaborating with front, middle, and back-office teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies, as well as supporting audits and compliance reviews. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a strong control environment and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and a solid foundation in Statistics to interpret complex data and support data-driven decisions.
• Candidates should possess Risk Analysis capabilities to identify, assess, and monitor market, credit, and operational risks.
• Candidates should possess Finance knowledge, including understanding of financial instruments, markets, and basic accounting or valuation principles.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present findings clearly, prepare concise reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or related field) or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis tools; experience with risk or trading systems is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance in financial services is beneficial; prior experience in financial markets or risk management is a plus.
