• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Quantity Surveying (QS) or related construction discipline.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ yearsof working experience as a Site QS inCivil & Structural / General Construction.

  • Must have practical construction site experience in Railway, MRT, or LRT projects.

• Familiarity with Malaysian construction laws, policies, site compliance, and regulations (e.g., construction industry tax, project acceptance compliance requirements).

• Good command of English and Bahasa Melayu. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage to coordinate effectively with project teams and site sub-contractors.

• Willing to work at Penang.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Site Quantity Surveyor (QS)to join our project team for theMRT Project in Penang Island. The candidate will be based on-site to handle preliminary cost estimations, BOQ preparation, contract management, and overall cost control for major civil and structural infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for preliminary cost estimation and quotation for site projects.

• Prepare, review, and measure Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

• Collect and analyse market information and price trends to support quotation strategies.

• Communicate effectively with on-site project teams, main contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and clients to coordinate quotation and claim matters.

• Identify potential cost risks in site operations and propose effective mitigation measures.

• Track project progress, evaluate site claims, and conduct detailed cost-benefit analysis.

• Participate in site cost audits and contract management for company projects in Malaysia.
