About the Role
[Company Name] is seeking a Supply Chain Consultant to support clients and internal stakeholders in improving supply chain performance, operational efficiency, and planning processes.
The successful candidate will analyse supply chain operations, identify improvement opportunities, develop practical recommendations, and work with stakeholders to support the implementation of supply chain initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse supply chain processes, operational data, and business requirements.
- Assess areas such as demand planning, supply planning, inventory, procurement, logistics, and distribution.
- Identify process gaps, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop practical recommendations to improve efficiency, service levels, and cost performance.
- Support supply chain transformation and process-improvement projects.
- Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand operational requirements.
- Prepare analysis, business cases, presentations, and project reports.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics.
- Support supply chain planning and optimisation initiatives.
- Assist with inventory and working-capital improvement projects.
- Coordinate with procurement, operations, logistics, finance, sales, and other relevant teams.
- Support the implementation of recommended processes and solutions.
- Monitor project progress, identify issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Conduct market and industry research where required.
- Maintain clear and accurate project documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of consulting methodologies and tools.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in supply chain consulting, logistics, procurement, planning, operations, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to analyse operational and business data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Good understanding of supply chain processes and performance metrics.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Good project management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant business tools.
- Experience with ERP or supply chain management systems is an advantage.
- Consulting or project-management experience is an advantage.
