About The Company

The client is a prominent Main Market-listed conglomerate on Bursa Malaysia with a diverse portfolio spanning across property development, and energy-related businesses. To support the rapid expansion of their renewables footprint, they are seeking a dynamic Business Development Deputy Manager to join their Energy division.

key responsibilities

• Business Development: Identify, map, and pursue commercial, industrial, and developer channels to aggressively expand the group's solar project pipeline.
• Tenders & Proposals: Lead end-to-end tender submissions and RFP evaluations; coordinate seamlessly with engineering consultants, EPC partners, and asset owners.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage and build relationships with key external stakeholders—including turnkey EPC contractors, off-takers, and regulatory authorities—to secure necessary approvals and long-term PPA/commercial agreements.
• Project Feasibility & Support: Drive early-stage technical assessments, financial feasibility modeling, and the creation of high-impact pitch decks for strategic clients.
  
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Proven track record in solar/energy business development, including demonstrated experience leading or managing sales teams.
• Competencies: Strong financial acumen, excellent negotiation capabilities, and refined executive presentation skills.
• Attributes: Proactive, commercially driven, and agile enough to excel in a fast-paced growth environment.
