We are representing a global venture capital firm seeking an Investment Associate to join its investment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and executing investment opportunities across high-growth businesses and emerging industries, while supporting portfolio management and investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing & Market Research
Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities across relevant sectors and markets.
Build relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, co-investors and industry experts.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, attractive investment themes and growth opportunities.
Investment Analysis & Due Diligence
Evaluate business models, market potential, competitive positioning, financial performance and growth prospects.
Conduct financial modelling, valuation analysis, market sizing and investment return assessments.
Perform commercial, financial and operational due diligence to assess investment opportunities and key risks.
Prepare investment memoranda and presentations to support investment decisions.
Deal Execution & Portfolio Management
Support investment structuring, valuation discussions, term-sheet negotiations and transaction execution.
Coordinate with legal, financial and other external advisers throughout the investment process.
Monitor portfolio company performance and support strategic initiatives, follow-on investments and potential exit opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, growth equity, investment banking or corporate venture capital.
Strong financial modelling, valuation, analytical and research capabilities.
Ability to assess business models, market dynamics, competitive landscapes and commercial risks.
