About the Role

The Storekeeper is responsible for the day-to-day handling of goods in the warehouse, including receiving, checking, storing and issuing items. The role also ensures that warehouse records and supporting documents are properly maintained and that the warehouse is kept organized and safe.

Key Job Responsibilities

Goods Receiving

• Receipt of incoming goods and deliveries.

• Check the quantity and physical condition of goods received against the delivery documents.

• Report any damages, missing or incorrect items to the relevant team.

• Ensure receiving and issuing information/documents are properly completed and passed to the relevant team for further processing.

Goods Issuance

• Pack, label and photograph orders appropriately for collection, delivery or shipment.

• Check the item and quantity before goods are released.

• Maintain proper records of goods issued from the warehouse.

• Assist with loading and unloading of goods where required.

Storage & Warehousing

• Arrange and store goods in the designated warehouse locations.

• Ensure items are properly labelled and stored in an orderly manner.

• Maintain general cleanliness, organization and safety in the warehouse.

• Perform stock-take and report any stock discrepancies identified.

• Update simple warehouse records or system transactions as required.

• Ensure goods are not removed from the warehouse without proper authorization and supporting documentation.

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year related warehouse/store-keeping experience is preferred.

• Loading and unloading of goods where required for this role.

• Minimum G.C.E “O” Level qualification or equivalent.

• Able to perform basic computer duties and data entries.

• Able to read and understand basic delivery and warehouse documents.

• Possession of a valid Forklift Operator license will be an added advantage
