About The Role

Asa CBRE HSE Manager, you willlead the delivery of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) programs for ahigh-profile corporate portfolio based in Malaysia, while supporting regional initiatives across the Asia Pacificregion.

This role isresponsible for ensuring compliance with Malaysian health and safetylegislation, strengthening workplace safety culture, and providing expert HSEleadership in a corporate office environment. You will partner with local,regional, and global stakeholders to implement effective HSE programs, manageoperational risk, and align global standards with local regulatory requirementsand established site practices.

You will also serveas a key HSE partner within Asia Pacific, supporting regional governance,reporting, and program execution across multiple time zones.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE programs across Malaysia.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian workplace health and safety legislation, regulations, and DOSH requirements.
  • Act as the local HSE subject matter expert, providing guidance on safety compliance and risk management.
  • Support and advise Safety and Health Committees in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and risk control activities (HIRARC).
  • Manage incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
  • Perform workplace inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Deliver health and safety training, awareness initiatives, and life safety programs.
  • Support emergency preparedness, business continuity, and crisis management activities.
  • Monitor HSE performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with operational stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support regional HSE governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement activities across Asia Pacific.
  • Partner with local and regional leadership to align global HSE standards with local operating requirements.

About You

  • Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of HSE experience within corporate workplaces, financial services, professional services, facilities management, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian workplace health and safety legislation, regulatory frameworks, and DOSH requirements.
  • Experience managing workplace safety programs within office-based environments.
  • Hands-on experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, HIRARC methodologies, and CAPA processes.
  • Knowledge of life safety, emergency preparedness, and workplace risk management programs.
  • Ability to balance regulatory compliance with business operations and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with local, regional, and global teams.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and business English.
  • Professional HSE certifications are highly desirable.
  • Regional or APAC experience is an advantage.
