About the role

As an Industrial Designer at StarMedia, you will lead projects from initial concepts through to final implementation, ensuring design ideas are practical and achievable. You will translate design briefs into creative and functional solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams, developing concepts, prototypes, technical drawings, and design revisions while ensuring all specifications are met. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, external vendors, and consultants throughout the project, maintain accurate and up-to-date design information, drawings, specifications, and project documentation, and work with vendors and production teams to ensure designs are properly developed and implemented.

Key responsibilities

Lead projects from initial concepts through to final implementation, ensuring design ideas are practical and achievable

Translate design briefs into creative and functional solutions while working closely with cross-functional teams

Develop concepts, prototypes, technical drawings, and design revisions while ensuring all specifications are met

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, external vendors, and consultants throughout the project

Maintain accurate and up-to-date design information, drawings, specifications, and project documentation

Work with vendors and production teams to ensure designs are properly developed and implemented

About you

Background in Industrial Design or a related field

Strong design thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills

Able to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

Proficient in 3D design and technical drawing software such as SolidWorks, Rhino 3D, 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, or equivalent

Able to produce accurate technical drawings, keylines, and specifications for prototyping and production

Able to develop technical drawings from initial concepts, identify suitable materials and finishes, and coordinate prototype development

Good visual, written, and verbal communication skills

Responsible, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
