This role reports to the Corporate Banking HOD and is mainly responsible for

1. Performing pre-onboarding KYC on all Corporate Banking clients; and
2. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by mentoring a team of Associate Relationship Managers

Job Responsibilities

Customer Due Diligence (Pre-onboarding)

• Perform KYC for client pre-onboarding
• Identify the purpose of onboarding, such as business nature, financing, and transactions
• Perform screening of clients, including connected parties and beneficial owners, against blacklist and designated watch-lists; review and resolve alerts.
• Issue a recommendation memo to the Compliance Department to onboard the clients, taking into account of the corporate structures, beneficial ownership, business activities, etc
• Monitor outstanding KYC cases to ensure smooth deal completion
• Work with Senior RMs to resolve complex KYC matters

Operational Management & Dashboard

• Coach and mentor ARMs on corporate banking products, deal flow process, MAS regulations and service standards (e.g. KPIs and turnaround time)
• Conduct product and process trainings to new hires
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence through working with the Operations Department
• Develop a dashboard, showing i) status of current and new deals; and ii) SLA (service level adherence) e.g. turnaround time, errors, backlog, etc
• Lead initiatives to improve automation, workflow efficiency and good customer service experience

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or Business
• 8 to 12 years' Corporate Banking experience
• Prior experience mentoring junior staff within the same team
• Strong hands-on knowledge and experience in Singapore Corporate Banking KYC regulations. Able to handle complex KYC cases independently
• Good knowledge of Corporate Banking products
• Strong sense of responsibility and good organising skills
• Strong self-motivation, high level of initiative, supportive and collaborative
• Able to manage internal stakeholders effectively
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in English
