Job Summary
The Procurement Manager leads sourcing and procurement activities to secure goods and services timely, cost-effectively, and compliantly. This role drives supplier management, contract governance, cost control, and risk mitigation to meet business needs and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement for assigned categories, projects, or operational needs to ensure timely and compliant delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, specifications, budgets, and delivery timelines.
Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers and service providers to build a reliable supplier base.
Conduct requests for quotation, tenders, bid evaluations, price benchmarking, and commercial analyses to support sourcing decisions.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, service levels, warranties, and liabilities to secure optimal commercial agreements.
Prepare, review, renew, and administer contracts, framework agreements, confidentiality agreements, and related procurement documentation.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality standards, pricing, and compliance with contractual obligations.
Resolve procurement issues including delays, discrepancies, claims, and supplier performance concerns to maintain supply chain continuity.
Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier data, pricing information, contracts, and savings documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
Analyze spend patterns, demand forecasts, market trends, supplier capabilities, and commercial risks to inform category and sourcing strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain management, business, engineering, or related fields.
Recognised procurement qualification is advantageous.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in global procurement, sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, or related commercial functions.
Good knowledge of marine machinery, equipment, spare parts, and engineering services.
Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI and procurement systems such as SAP or Coupa is desirable.
Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Commercially aware, organised, adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities with integrity.
