About the Role

To provide electrical engineering support for engineering, design, project execution, maintenance and troubleshooting activities, ensuring all electrical systems are designed, installed and maintained in accordance with applicable standards, specifications and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Work independently to prepare and review electrical engineering deliverables including:

• Electrical Design Basis
• Specifications and datasheets
• Electrical load lists
• Power system studies
• Cable sizing calculations
• Lighting calculations and studies
• UPS and battery sizing calculations
• Electrical equipment sizing and associated calculations

Develop electrical engineering designs in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines.

Manage major electrical equipment packages throughout the engineering and procurement cycle, including:

• 33 kV switchgear
• 6.6 kV switchgear
• LV switchboards / MCCs
• Power and distribution transformers
• MV VFDs
• HV/MV/LV motors
• Emergency diesel generators (EDG)
• UPS and battery systems
• Distribution boards
• Electrical bulk materials

Candidates should have hands-on experience managing at least four of the above electrical packages, covering activities such as:

• Preparation of specifications and datasheets
• Material Requisition (MR)
• Technical Clarification (TC)
• Technical Evaluation (TE/TBE)
• Vendor document review
• Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
• Coordination with mechanical package vendors

Review and resolve electrical technical queries arising from construction and site activities.

Provide engineering support during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.

Coordinate electrical interfaces with mechanical packages and other disciplines.

Demonstrate strong practical knowledge of electrical engineering principles, equipment, protection, power distribution and applicable industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably within the oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery or EPC industry.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical design engineering and equipment package management.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good coordination and communication skills when dealing with other engineering disciplines, vendors, clients and construction teams.
• Hardworking with a positive and responsible working attitude.
• Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, demanding project environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
