We are partnering with a leading global institution to appoint a Head of Security Engineering to lead and strengthen its enterprise cybersecurity engineering capabilities.

This is a senior leadership opportunity responsible for shaping the organisation's security engineering strategy, driving technology transformation and overseeing the delivery of scalable, resilient and effective security solutions across a complex global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the enterprise security engineering strategy and technology roadmap, aligned with business priorities and evolving cybersecurity threats.
• Lead and develop high-performing security engineering teams, driving technical excellence, innovation and operational effectiveness.
• Oversee the architecture, engineering and continuous improvement of enterprise cybersecurity platforms and capabilities.
• Drive security technology modernisation, platform integration, automation and optimisation initiatives.
• Establish security engineering standards and best practices to strengthen enterprise-wide security and resilience.
• Partner closely with technology, cybersecurity, architecture and risk stakeholders to embed security into enterprise technology initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and security solutions to enhance the organisation's cybersecurity capabilities.
• Provide strategic leadership and guidance on security engineering investments, technology decisions and long-term capability development.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure or security engineering, with a strong track record in senior technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading large-scale security engineering functions within complex enterprise environments.
• Broad understanding of enterprise security technologies, architectures and engineering practices across multiple cybersecurity domains.
• Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise-wide security transformation and technology modernisation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, security architecture, automation and emerging cybersecurity trends.
• Ability to balance strategic leadership with technical depth and sound engineering judgement.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills, with experience engaging senior technology and business executives.
