Our client is an established regional private equity/venture capital investment firm with a focus on technology and semiconductor-related investments. As part of its continued growth, the firm is seeking an experienced investment professional, the position can be based in Penang or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, originate and evaluate investment opportunities across the semiconductor value chain, including chip design, manufacturing, equipment, materials and related technologies.
• Lead investment due diligence, including financial, commercial, operational and industry assessments of potential investments.
• Analyse semiconductor industry trends, competitive dynamics, technological developments and market opportunities to support investment decisions.
• Conduct company valuations and investment potentials
• Prepare investment proposals and recommendations for the Investment Committee.
• Work with other investment team members to manage transaction execution, including deal structuring, negotiations, documentation etc
• Build and maintain relationships with industry executives, business owners, investment banks, advisers and other relevant stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• At least 8 years of semiconductor industry
• Strong technical knowledge to the semiconductor industry, with a sound understanding of its value chain, business models and key industry drivers.
• Strong analytical capabilities and with a passion to long-term investment opportunities.
• Good communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Team player and also able to work independently
• Motivated, diligent, positive mindset
