Beverage Preparation: Assist with brewing coffee and espresso drinks, steam and froth milk, whisk matcha, and prepare cold brews or specialty teas following standard recipes (SOPs).
Machine Operation & Upkeep: Learn to operate, dial in, clean, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
Customer Service: Greet guests, take orders (manually or via Point of Sale / POS systems), explain menu items, and handle payments or cashiering.
Bar Cleanliness: Keep the coffee bar, workspace, and equipment sanitary and well-stocked throughout the shift.
Food Preparation & Assembly: Prepare, toast, assemble, or plate light food items, sandwiches, pastries, or simple hot/cold dishes according to cafe standards.Stock & Inventory: Monitor ingredient levels, unpack deliveries, prep daily mise-en-place, and restock station supplies. Hygiene & Safety: Follow local food safety and hygiene guidelines (such as SFA standards in Singapore), wash crockery and utensils, and maintain a clean kitchen area.
Team Support: Cover peak rush hours across both the bar and kitchen counters, and pitch in with ad-hoc operational tasks as needed.
