• Develop, implement, and maintain QASHE policies, procedures, and documentation in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and applicable regulatory requirements, including effective document control.
• Conduct workplace hazard identification, risk assessments, inspections, and safety audits, including SHASSIC assessments, and implement appropriate preventive and corrective actions to minimize OSHE risks.
• Plan and coordinate OSHE training programmes, including safety inductions, refresher training, and awareness programmes for employees and contractors, while maintaining relevant training materials and records.
• Coordinate monthly QASHE meetings with contractors and relevant stakeholders, prepare meeting minutes, and communicate OSHE initiatives, requirements, and updates to management, employees, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills, investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, and prepare investigation reports with appropriate corrective action recommendations.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHE legislation and statutory requirements, including liaising with relevant authorities and managing the renewal of CIDB Green Cards, PMA, PMT certificates, permits, and other regulatory documentation.
• Prepare and maintain OSHE reports, safety statistics, manpower records, incident records, and compliance documentation, while identifying opportunities to improve workplace safety culture and environmental performance.
• Advise management and project teams on occupational safety and health requirements and ensure the effective implementation of the Project Safety Plan in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
• Support and coordinate the Safety and Health Committee, including arranging meetings, preparing documentation, maintaining records, and following up on agreed safety and health actions.
• Continuously monitor OSHE performance and recommend improvements to strengthen compliance, risk management, workplace safety, and environmental practices across project sites.
