Responsibilities

• Produce consistently high-quality baked goods according to the company’s recipes and standards.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, portioning, and presentation standards are maintained at all times.
• Assist the Head Baker in overseeing daily baking operations and ensuring production targets are met.
• Guide and supervise junior bakers and kitchen staff during daily operations.
• Assist with monitoring stock levels, ingredient preparation, and ensuring sufficient ingredients are available for production.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards throughout the kitchen.
• Minimize food wastage and ensure proper storage, handling, and usage of ingredients.
• Conduct R&D trials, including recipe testing, ingredient selection, portioning, baking methods and product consistency.
• Work closely with the management team on new product launches, seasonal products and menu improvements.
• Follow all kitchen SOPs, food safety requirements, and operational procedures.
• Assist with identifying and resolving production or quality issues when they arise.
• Support the Head Baker in training new team members and ensuring proper work procedures are followed.
• Perform other baking and operational duties as assigned by the Head Baker or management.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional baking experience
• Previous experience as a Senior Baker, Head Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role is preferred.
• Experience in recipe development and R&D is highly preferred.
• Creative and willing to experiment with new flavours, ingredients and techniques.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays
• Candidates who can start immediately or within short notice will be preferred.
• Able to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
• Strong leadership and time management skills

Pay: RM3,300.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
