Role Description The Senior Software Architect is a full-time position based in Greater Kuala Lumpur with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. In this role, the individual will define and evolve system architectures for AI-driven solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability across multiple products and platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product managers and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical designs, creating architectural diagrams, and selecting appropriate technologies and design patterns. The Senior Software Architect will provide technical leadership, review code and designs, guide software developers, and establish best practices and standards. The role also involves performing architectural reviews, addressing performance and reliability issues, and supporting implementation plans to ensure successful delivery of enterprise-grade solutions.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Architecture and Software Design, including experience with distributed systems and cloud-based architectures.
• Candidates should possess solid Software Development and Programming skills, with proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
• Candidates should possess expertise in applying Design Patterns and architectural best practices to build scalable, resilient, and secure solutions.
• Candidates should possess experience designing solutions for AI-driven or data-intensive applications, ideally in banking, insurance, or enterprise environments.
• Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to mentor and guide engineering teams.
• Candidates should possess experience working in hybrid or cross-functional teams, with the ability to collaborate effectively across locations and time zones.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, APIs, and CI/CD practices is highly advantageous.
