1. Job Summary

To inspect and monitor electrical installation works at the project site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable Malaysian regulations.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor electrical installation works, including power distribution, lighting, wiring, cabling, earthing, lightning protection, and related electrical equipment.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and applicable standards.
• Review electrical shop drawings, material submissions, and technical documents.
• Witness and verify electrical testing and commissioning activities.
• Identify defects and non-compliant works, report findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with electrical contractors, consultants, site supervisors, and other project personnel.
• Monitor work progress and coordinate with other disciplines to minimise site clashes and delays.
• Maintain daily site records, inspection reports, test reports, and quality documentation.
• Monitor compliance with electrical safety procedures and report potential hazards.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on inspection findings, work progress, and outstanding issues.

3. Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Must possess valid Inspector of Works (IOW) registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), where applicable to the project requirements.
• Relevant electrical competency certification or registration required by the project or applicable authority, where applicable.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical inspection, site supervision, or building construction projects.
• Good knowledge of electrical installation, testing and commissioning, technical drawings, and quality control procedures.
• Familiarity with applicable Malaysian electrical standards, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.
• Able to work independently and be stationed at the assigned project site in Sabah.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month

• Kota Kinabalu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
