What does career security really mean today?

For many of us, we grew up believing that if we worked hard, performed well and stayed loyal to our company, we could build a stable career.

But the world of work is changing.

Today, career security is increasingly about what we build within ourselves - our skills, relationships, adaptability, professional reputation and ability to create value for others.

As a Financial Services Director at PIAS, leading Affinity Kaizen Alliance (AKA), this is one of the reasons I continue to believe strongly in the financial services profession.

It is a career that can offer more than income.

Growth - The opportunity to continuously develop yourself, expand your network and eventually develop others.

Purpose - Few things are more satisfying than knowing your knowledge and advice have helped someone make an important decision for themselves or their family.

Ownership - The opportunity to build your own professional value, relationships and career rather than relying solely on a job title.

Impact - As your experience grows, so does your ability to positively influence your clients, colleagues and the people you lead.

But I also believe in being transparent: financial advisory is not a shortcut to success.

It requires resilience, discipline, continuous learning and, most importantly, a genuine desire to work with people. The rewards come from the value you create and the relationships you build over time.

At Affinity Kaizen Alliance, Kaizen represents continuous improvement. I want to build an environment where people don't just become better Financial Advisers — they become stronger professionals, mentors and future leaders.

Right now, I'm especially looking to connect with:

Experienced Financial Advisers who have built a foundation in this profession but are asking themselves, “What's next for me?”

And one group especially close to my heart. Mothers who have taken a career break to raise their children and are thinking about returning to the workforce.

As a working mother myself, I understand that our priorities can change after having children. Returning to work isn't simply about finding a job. It can also be about rediscovering your professional identity, rebuilding confidence and finding a career where you can continue to grow while being present for the people who matter most.
