Platform/DevOps Engineer

Location: SCB MYS SL Petaling Jaya

Years of Experience: 7 -10 Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform/DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Python to join our dynamic team.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment strategies.
  • Implement security best practices across the platform and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and optimize resource utilization.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices for team knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in on call rotations and provide support for production systems.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming.
  • Extensive experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their services.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
  • Understanding of container orchestration and service mesh technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7 10 years of experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications (eg, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Solutions Expert) are a plus.
  • Must: Kubernetes, Java or python
  • Good to have: Ranger, Spark, Trino
