Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Analog Mixed-Signal (AMS) Verification Engineer to develop and execute verification strategies for complex analog and mixed-signal ICs. You will collaborate with analog/digital design, architecture, test, and validation teams to ensure product functionality and quality from specification through silicon validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define AMS/System verification strategies, plans, test cases, and coverage.
- Develop mixed-signal testbenches, checkers, behavioral models, and automated regression flows.
- Perform transistor-level, behavioral, and mixed-abstraction simulations using AMS simulation tools.
- Verify analog and mixed-signal functions including LDOs/regulators, DC/DC converters, references, oscillators, amplifiers, charge pumps, protection circuits, and power sequencing.
- Verify analog/digital interactions, including register-controlled functions, state machines, fault handling, startup/shutdown, and test modes.
- Develop reusable verification environments using SystemVerilog/UVM where applicable.
- Debug complex AMS simulation failures and collaborate with design teams on root-cause analysis.
- Track verification progress and participate in design/specification reviews.
- Support silicon bring-up, validation, and simulation-to-silicon correlation when required.
- Drive verification methodology improvements and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, or related discipline.
- 7+ years of relevant analog/mixed-signal IC verification, design, modeling, or simulation experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in AMS verification and simulation.
- Experience with tools such as Cadence Spectre, AMS Designer, Xcelium, Siemens Symphony, or similar.
- Strong understanding of analog/mixed-signal circuits and system-level interactions.
- Good knowledge of SystemVerilog and Verilog RTL.
- Experience developing verification plans, test cases, simulation environments, and automated regressions.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- UVM, SVA, Verilog-AMS / Verilog-A
- Analog/mixed-signal behavioral modeling
- Fast-SPICE simulation
- Python, Tcl, Perl, or Shell scripting
- Functional/code coverage and requirements-driven verification
- DFT, fault injection, diagnostics, or functional safety verification
- Power-management IC verification
- Silicon validation and correlation
- Verification automation and AI-assisted verification methodologies
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a technically strong and proactive engineer who is comfortable working across analog, digital, and system domains. The candidate should be able to understand complex IC architectures, translate requirements into effective verification strategies, identify verification gaps, and systematically drive issues to resolution.
The role requires a combination of deep technical expertise, structured verification thinking, strong debugging capabilities, and effective collaboration with design, applications, architecture, test, and verification teams.
