We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our ever-evolving Business Development team and help shape the future of global commerce. You’ll play a key role in driving new business growth by identifying and converting opportunities, building strong relationships across the payments ecosystem and delivering sustainable revenue outcomes. With ownership of your sales pipeline and the opportunity to influence go-to-market strategies, solutions and merchant experiences, you’ll help Global Payments respond to evolving market needs while creating lasting value for our merchants and our business.

What you’ll own

• Drive new business growth by owning opportunities from prospecting through conversion, delivering against individual sales volume and revenue targets while building a sustainable pipeline for future growth.
• Shape winning sales strategies by bringing market and merchant insights into commercial planning, influencing how we identify opportunities, position solutions and compete effectively.
• Deliver sustainable commercial outcomes by leading negotiations that balance competitive pricing with long-term value for both merchants and the business.
• Turn evolving merchant needs into opportunities by monitoring market trends, identifying emerging needs and recommending products or solutions that strengthen our value proposition.
• Elevate the merchant experience by collaborating across teams to improve service and satisfaction while ensuring new business is delivered in line with internal policies and procedures.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of business development and merchant solutions sales experience within payments or financial technology (Fintech), with demonstrated success in generating and winning new account opportunities.
• An entrepreneurial, ownership-driven mindset, with the initiative and resilience to pursue opportunities, solve problems and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, with the ability to understand customer needs, navigate negotiations and make sound decisions that contribute to sustainable business growth.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• A collaborative and accountable approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on merchant and business outcomes.

It's a bonus if you have

• A broad existing network across the payments ecosystem that can help uncover and accelerate new business opportunities.
• Experience using Salesforce and Microsoft Office to turn sales information and insights into informed commercial decisions.
• Tertiary education or above, alongside a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
