Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Registered Safety and Health Officer (Green Book) with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) is mandatory.

Strong knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), construction safety regulations, HIRARC, permit-to-work systems, and incident investigation.

Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in occupational safety and health within construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects. •

Experience in implementing Safety and Health Management Systems, conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance activities. •

Familiarity with HIRARC, permit-to-work systems, emergency response planning, safety audits, and contractor safety management. •

Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to promote a proactive safety culture across project teams.

Implement and maintain the Project Safety and Health Management System to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health legislation, company policies, and project requirements. •

Develop and review safety plans, risk assessments (HIRARC/JSA), method statements, and control measures to minimise workplace hazards. •

Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented. •

Monitor compliance with permit-to-work systems, site safety procedures, and statutory safety requirements throughout project execution. •

Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence. •

Prepare safety reports, performance statistics, and compliance documentation to support project management and regulatory reporting. •

Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness programmes, and training sessions to promote a positive safety culture across the project. •

Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure site readiness.
