Job Overview
We are seeking a high-performing and customer-centric Financial Services Consultant specializing in Bancassurance to join our team. In this role, you will act as a trusted financial partner to our branch’s retail and high-net-worth clients, delivering tailored protection, savings, and wealth accumulation strategies.
Leveraging the bank's established customer base and cross-referral network, you will evaluate client financial goals, recommend holistic insurance solutions, and contribute directly to branch revenue targets while delivering standard-setting customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Needs Analysis:
- Conduct thorough financial health checks to identify customer protection gaps, retirement goals, and investment objectives. Recommend tailored bancassurance solutions (life insurance, legacy planning, endowment, medical, and investment-linked plans).
Sales Execution & Business Development:
- Leverage the bank’s internal customer database and branch walk-in traffic to drive bancassurance product penetration. Actively engage in cross-selling initiatives alongside branch relationship managers and frontline staff.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Management:
- Convert warm leads provided by bank officers, build active client referral pipelines, and maintain high conversion rates.
Relationship Management & After-Sales Service:
- Deliver high-touch, ongoing advisory services to existing clients. Handle policy reviews, beneficiary updates, and claims assistance to foster long-term loyalty and retention.
Compliance & Operational Integrity:
- Ensure all advisory and sales processes fully comply with internal bank guidelines, insurance partner standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Fair Dealing guidelines, AML/KYC requirements, and anti-mis-selling protocols).
Product Knowledge Mastery:
- Stay continuously updated on market trends, competitive products, economic changes, and underwriting/regulatory updates.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Achievement of monthly/quarterly bancassurance revenue and sales targets.
- Product mix diversity (e.g., regular premium vs. single premium life, medical, protection).
- Lead-to-conversion efficiency from branch referrals.
- Customer retention rate, policy persistency, and low cancellation/surrender ratios.
- Zero non-compliance findings in regulatory audits and mystery shopping exercises.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Certifications:
- Required local regulatory certifications for insurance advisory (e.g., PCE/CEILI, CMFAS Module 5/9/9A, or equivalent regulatory licensing for financial planning/insurance sales).
Experience:
- 1–3 years of proven sales or financial advisory experience in retail banking, bancassurance, or insurance distribution.
- High-performing fresh graduates with a strong sales drive and relevant internships are welcome to apply.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Demonstrated track record in meeting or exceeding individual sales targets.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and client-first mindset.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English (multilingual capability is an added advantage for local customer demographics).
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission and quarterly sales performance bonuses.
- Pre-qualified, warm lead streams directly from the bank's customer ecosystem.
- Comprehensive onboarding, product training, and structured career advancement pathways into Senior Advisory or Management roles.
- Full medical, dental, and insurance coverage benefits.
