About the Role

The successful candidate will join SHEIN’s Policy and Strategy team in Singapore and support global ESG public policy work. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure compliance with high-impact ESG regulations, strengthening SHEIN’s ESG governance and reporting frameworks, and leading the transition of social impact giving activities to the SHEIN Foundation.


The candidate will work closely with global and market-based Government Relations, Public Relations, Sustainability, Legal, Compliance, and business/operational teams.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the management of SHEIN’s global ESG policy and regulatory risks by tracking, analysing, and assessing ESG policy and regulatory developments across key markets, with a focus on high-impact areas such as Extended Producer Responsibility, green claims and ESG disclosure requirements.
  • Develop and implement global strategies, compliance plans, and cross-functional workplans to ensure SHEIN’s readiness for, and compliance with high-impact ESG regulations.
  • Provide clear recommendations to senior management and relevant internal teams on ESG policy risks, regulatory developments, compliance actions, and advocacy strategies.
  • Lead and strengthen SHEIN’s ESG governance structures, policies, processes, controls, data readiness, and internal coordination mechanisms.
  • Lead efforts to ensure that SHEIN meets applicable ESG disclosure and reporting requirements globally, including the development of ESG reporting frameworks, disclosures and related governance processes.
  • Lead the transition of SHEIN’s social impact giving activities to the SHEIN Foundation, ensuring alignment with governance requirements, legal and regulatory obligations, operational needs, and recognised best practices.
  • Develop governance frameworks, operating processes, and stakeholder engagement plans to support the SHEIN Foundation’s effective operation, accountability, and strategic impact.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with relevant ESG stakeholders, including non-governmental and international organisations, industry associations, government officials, regulators, and business organisations, to advance SHEIN’s ESG priorities and strengthen its reputation.
  • Work closely with relevant internal teams to communicate key ESG projects, initiatives, and policy positions to internal and external stakeholders.



Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in ESG, Environmental Policy, International Relations, Public Policy, Sustainability, Law, Political Science, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in ESG-related fields, corporate/public affairs, government relations, public policy, sustainability, or regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in public policy research, regulatory analysis, ESG reporting, sustainability governance, or regulatory compliance in the public or private sector.
  • Exposure to strategy work within a government agency, international organisation, industry association, consultancy, or corporation would be advantageous.
  • Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional workstreams and engage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, presentation (written and oral) and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work across cultures, functions, and markets
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain strong attention to detail, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
