Job Objective:

We are seeking a hands-on Prober Engineer to lead the setup, qualification, and maintenance of wafer probers for IC testing operations. The role includes equipment selection, installation readiness, uptime management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to ensure reliable and efficient test operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with Test Engineering, Operations, equipment vendors, and customers to establish robust prober capabilities and support business growth.

Job Scope:

• Lead prober selection, procurement technical evaluation, installation, setup, qualification, and operational readiness.

• Coordinate equipment installation requirements, including facility utilities, layout, interfaces, and supporting infrastructure.

• Maintain prober uptime and reliability through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely equipment recovery.

• Optimize prober performance, utilization, and throughput while minimizing downtime and operating costs.

• Collaborate with Test Engineering to ensure compatibility between probers, ATE systems, probe cards, and test requirements.

• Coordinate with equipment vendors on technical issues, maintenance, spare parts, and equipment upgrades.

• Establish equipment maintenance procedures, operating standards, and performance monitoring.

• Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency, productivity, and long-term scalability.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor wafer probing, prober engineering, or wafer test operations.

• Strong technical knowledge of wafer probers, including equipment selection, configuration, setup, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with prober installation, qualification, preventive maintenance, and uptime improvement.

• Good understanding of wafer probing processes and interfaces with ATE systems and probe cards.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on equipment performance and operational efficiency.

• Self-driven, hands-on, and comfortable taking ownership in a startup environment.

• Proactive in identifying improvement opportunities and developing practical, scalable solutions.
