Smartlink Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysian contract manufacturing and engineering solutions provider serving high-precision industries, including semiconductor, electronics, automotive and aerospace.

Our core capabilities include sheet metal fabrication, precision machining, cable and wire harnessing, electrical and mechanical assembly, control panel assembly and system integration.

We are seeking a Production Assistant / Production Support to join our Sheet Metal Fabrication Division and support daily manufacturing and production operations.

The ideal candidate should be responsible, disciplined, hands-on and willing to support various production activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Location:

• Current Location: Kapar, Klang, Selangor.
• Future Location: Sijangkang, Selangor (planned relocation by Q*************).

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in coordinating and supporting daily sheet metal fabrication and production activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Support production operators and supervisors in completing assigned production jobs according to schedules and requirements.
• Assist in preparing, handling, arranging and distributing raw materials, sheet metal components and workpieces for production.
• Support sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, punching, drilling, grinding, deburring and finishing, where required.
• Assist in monitoring work-in-progress (WIP) and ensuring materials and components are properly identified and organised.
• Assist in checking completed and semi-finished components for visible defects, damage or abnormalities.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and movement of materials and finished products within the production area.
• Assist in updating basic production records, job progress and other production-related documentation.
• Report material shortages, production delays, equipment abnormalities or quality issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Work closely with production operators, supervisors and other relevant departments to maintain smooth production workflow.
• Maintain good housekeeping, workplace organisation and 5S practices within the production area.
• Follow established work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality requirements and workplace safety regulations.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum SPM, SKM or equivalent qualification.
• Candidates with experience in sheet metal fabrication, metalworking, manufacturing or production operations will have an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, punching, drilling or grinding is an advantage.
• Familiarity with production materials, fabrication components and basic manufacturing tools is preferred.
• Able to understand and follow work instructions and production requirements.
• Basic knowledge of production documentation, material handling or work-in-progress (WIP) monitoring will be an added advantage.
• Willing to work overtime when required.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
