Job Summary
As a Production Engineer, you will oversee daily fabrication workshop operations to maximize productivity, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate with teams to optimize processes, lead problem-solving, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high standards.
Responsibilities
Innovate fabrication processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality
Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure consistent fabrication results
Manage factory and equipment maintenance to maintain safety and operational efficiency
Ensure adherence to statutory regulations and company policies in all operations
Collaborate with project teams to interpret customer requirements and translate design drawings into practical fabrication solutions
Apply value engineering techniques to optimize cost savings while maintaining quality standards
Plan production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and resolve conflicts to meet delivery deadlines
Monitor production output, track costs, and assess progress against targets for continuous improvement
Coordinate with specialist vendors to fulfill project specifications and timelines
Lead daily meetings with supervisors and teams to ensure smooth workshop operations and address issues promptly
Required competencies and certifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Minimum 2 years of experience in production or industrial engineering
Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office applications
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and materials
Excellent communication and coordination skills with vendors and clients
Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to perform under pressure
Self-driven and committed to continuous improvement
