Key Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in managing general construction projects from project award through completion, handover, and defect liability period.
Plan and coordinate project schedules, procurement, subcontractors, suppliers, manpower, and site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams throughout project execution.
Coordinate architectural, structural, M&E, and other construction trades in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Review drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical requirements, and assist in resolving site and coordination issues.
Monitor site progress, workmanship, safety, quality, and subcontractor performance through regular site inspections and project meetings.
Assist with project documentation, including progress claims, variation orders (VOs), procurement, cost control, reporting, and completion documentation.
Coordinate inspections, testing and commissioning, defects rectification, and project handover.
Support tender preparation, technical submissions, and pre-award planning where required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in general building, construction, A&A, or main contractor projects.
Good understanding of construction methods, architectural, structural and M&E coordination, and project delivery processes.
Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Familiar with project planning, procurement, subcontractor coordination, progress claims, and variation orders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or Microsoft Project is an advantage.
Strong communication, coordination, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment and travel when required.
