Job Description

We are looking for a Dim Sum Cook to prepare our chee cheong fun (rice rolls) to consistent quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and steam chee cheong fun to order, following the restaurant’s recipes and portion standards
• Prepare rice batter, fillings (e.g. prawn, char siew, scallop) and sauces before service
• Keep quality, taste and plating consistent during peak hours
• Keep the station clean and food-safe, following SFA food hygiene requirements
• Do opening and closing duties, including mise en place, equipment cleaning and stock checks
• Rotate stock (FIFO), keep track of ingredients and report shortages to the Dim Sum Head Chef
• Run and look after steamers and rice roll equipment safely
• Support other dim sum stations when needed
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Experience making chee cheong fun or dim sum is an advantage. Training will be provided for suitable candidates.
• Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to obtain one; the company can arrange this)
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays according to the roster
• Able to stand for long periods and handle hot equipment safely, as the role requires
• Works well in a team and takes care with hygiene and food quality
