We have an Immediate Opening QA Automation Engineer with our reputed Client.

Experience: 4+ years

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in test automation using Cypress or Playwright. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of web applications.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress or Playwright.

· Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

· Develop and maintain automation test frameworks and reusable test components.

· Collaborate closely with developers, Business Analysts, and other QA team members to understand requirements and define test scenarios.

· Identify, document, and track software defects through to resolution.

· Execute automated and manual test cases when required.

· Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

· Perform API testing and validate system integrations where applicable.

· Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

· Analyse test results and provide clear reports on quality and testing status.

· Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing processes, and overall test coverage.

Required Skills & Experience

· Minimum 4+ years of experience in Software QA/Testing.

· Strong hands-on experience in Test Automation.

· Practical experience with Cypress or Playwright is mandatory.

· Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.

· Good understanding of web application testing and browser-based automation.

· Experience in functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.

· Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or similar.

· Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira.

· Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

· Experience with CI/CD tools and automation integration is an advantage.

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

· Experience with both Cypress and Playwright.

· Knowledge of Git/version control.

· Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

· Familiarity with SQL/database testing.

· Experience in performance or security testing is an added advantage.

Education

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Key Mandatory Requirement:
Hands-on experience in QA Automation using Cypress or Playwright.
