BSTS Sabah is seeking a competent and dedicated Designated First Aider Trainer to deliver first aid training to participants from various industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting theoretical and practical training sessions, ensuring participants understand essential first aid procedures and workplace emergency response practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct first aid training sessions, including theoretical lessons and practical demonstrations.
• Deliver training on basic life support, CPR, AED usage, wound management and other relevant first aid topics within the approved course scope.
• Prepare training materials, lesson plans and practical exercises in accordance with applicable training requirements.
• Assess participants' knowledge and practical competencies through written assessments and hands-on exercises.
• Ensure training equipment, first aid kits and training facilities are properly maintained and ready for use.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, assessment results and other required training documentation.
• Promote workplace safety, emergency preparedness and proper first aid practices.
• Ensure training delivery complies with applicable safety standards, course requirements and relevant guidelines.
• Support BSTS in maintaining training quality and providing a professional learning experience for participants.
• Assist in conducting emergency response drills, including first aid, CPR, and workplace emergency scenarios.

Requirements

• Possess a valid and relevant first aid trainer qualification or certification recognised for the courses to be delivered.
• Have relevant experience in first aid, emergency response, occupational safety or training delivery.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Able to conduct practical demonstrations and guide participants through first aid exercises.
• Responsible, organised and committed to maintaining high training standards.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience delivering training to industrial, construction or oil and gas personnel will be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant CPR, AED, Basic Life Support or first aid certifications.
• Experience conducting workplace first aid training.
• Experience in safety training, emergency response or occupational health and safety.
• Relevant instructor or train-the-trainer certification, where required for the course.
