About the role

Kuantan Clinical Diagnostic Centre Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and professional Dispensary Technician to join our pharmacy team. This is a full-time position based in Kuantan, Pahang. As a key member of our healthcare facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications to our patients. This position is essential to maintaining the highest standards of pharmaceutical care and patient safety within our diagnostic centre.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications according to prescriptions issued by healthcare practitioners, ensuring correct dosage and quantity
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy, completeness and potential drug interactions or contraindications before dispensing
• Maintain detailed records of all dispensed medications in accordance with pharmaceutical regulations and centre protocols
• Receive and process incoming pharmaceutical stock, ensuring proper storage, labelling and organisation of medications
• Monitor and manage medication inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies
• Prepare and label medications clearly, providing patients with clear instructions for usage, storage and potential side effects
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic dispensary environment in compliance with health and safety standards
• Respond professionally to patient enquiries regarding medications and their usage
• Assist with the implementation of pharmacy protocols and standard operating procedures
• Support the pharmacy team in maintaining accreditation standards and regulatory compliance

What we're looking for

• Diploma or certificate in Pharmacy or Pharmacy Technology from a recognised institution
• Valid registration with the relevant pharmaceutical regulatory body in Malaysia
• Proven experience working in a dispensary or pharmacy setting, preferably within a clinical or diagnostic centre
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions and contraindications
• Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and computer systems
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately process prescriptions and maintain records
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills with both healthcare professionals and patients
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation and regulatory requirements in Malaysia is advantageous
