Job Summary

• Responsible for quality monitoring activities from raw materials received, processes during production until bulk tanker deliveries and ensuring products are compliance with internal specifications, customer requirements and adhere to local (Malaysia Food Act and Regulations), international (if applicable) and food safety regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Authorised to put non-conformity products on-hold.
• Involve in Food Safety Management System as FSMS team member to ensure quality products for food safety performance.
• Monitor outcome of collaborative tests on scheduled basis to ensure competency of Lab Tech and fulfilling departmental objective.
• Support to monitor regulatory and labelling requirements and communicate update on changes.
• Schedule for preventive maintenance or verification for lab equipment. Verify the calibration or the preventive maintenance done and ensure the availability of the required measuring equipment.
• Arrange external lab testing and analysis testing results. Work closely with external laboratories to ensure satisfactory completion of testing and arrange retest or resample if out of specification.
• Communicate closely with production and warehouse regarding acceptance, rejection and disposition of raw materials, work in progress products and finished products. Response immediate to lab technicians’ feedback on the samples received from production. Take appropriative correction / corrective actions on identified problems.
• Support audit activities by government sector, certification bodies, customers, and suppliers.
• To complete other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualification

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology/Science or others food-related qualification

Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge

• Preferably with at least 1-2 year working experience in food industry
• Preferably experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance
• Familiar with GMP, HACCP and FSSC 22000 and/or other Food Safety Management System standards.
• Familiar with Food Act and Regulation Malaysia
• Food Handlers Training
• Microsoft office skill
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Multi-tasking

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
