- Deliver the design, administration and review of annual incentive and bonus arrangements, developing a sound understanding of trading and commercial incentive mechanisms and their key drivers, governance and payout implications.
- Support reward recommendations for hiring, promotions, retention and organisational changes, considering external market data, internal equity, business affordability and relevant governance requirements.
- Maintain awareness of relevant reward, regulatory and market developments across JERAGM locations, assess their implications and recommend practical changes to JERAGM’s reward approach.
- Build and maintain reward dashboards and people-cost analysis to provide timely insight on pay positioning, salary movements, incentive spend and workforce cost.
Benefits
- Lead the development and execution of the benefits strategy, ensuring programmes remain market-competitive, cost-effective and aligned with business and employee needs.
- Lead the relationship with benefits brokers and vendors, including renewals, market information, utilisation and claims trends, service levels and employee communications.
- Prepare benefits recommendations and operational options for approval by the Head of Rewards, with cost-modelling support from the Compensation & Analytics team.
Rewards Insights, Governance and Strategic Projects
- Manage the annual HR budget, forecast and financial reporting processes, including headcount cost modelling, benefits expenditure planning, HR cost allocations, accruals, provisions and variance analysis.
- Deliver regular and ad hoc compensation and people-cost reporting for HR, Finance and business leadership, providing clear insight into key cost drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Partner closely with HR Operations, Finance and other stakeholders to ensure accurate employee data, strong HRIS data integrity and well-coordinated Rewards and payroll activities.
- Support organisational change and workforce integration activities, including reviewing and aligning pay, bonus, benefits, job levels and reward frameworks, and preparing analysis, cost modelling and recommendations to inform transition decisions.
- Deliver strategic HR and Rewards projects, including HRIS implementation, global benefits reviews and other initiatives arising from evolving business needs.
Professional Experience
- Typically 4-8 years of progressive experience in compensation or a Rewards generalist role, ideally within financial services, commodities trading or a complex international business.
- Demonstrable experience contributing to or supporting the preparation of materials for a Remuneration Committee or equivalent governance process, including executive pay data and board-level presentations.
- Experience in HR budgeting, financial modelling and cost reporting, with the ability to produce clear, accurate outputs for Finance and senior leadership.
Technical Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in Finance, Economics, Business, HR or a related discipline; CIPD, CCP or equivalent professional certification is advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modelling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, scenario analysis); Power BI or equivalent data visualisation tools is a plus.
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g. Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM).
- Familiarity with compensation benchmarking platforms.
- An understanding of reward practices and employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions, particularly the UK, Singapore, Japan and the US, is ideal.
Person Specification
- Financially astute and analytically rigorous, able to work comfortably with numbers, financial models and data sets, and to translate findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Exceptionally organised, accurate and detail-oriented; takes personal ownership of data quality and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to convey complex reward or financial information clearly to a range of audiences, from employees to senior leadership.
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Collaborative by nature; a genuine team player who also has the confidence and expertise to operate autonomously and take ownership.
