Role Description The Commissioning Engineer (Electrical) is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves planning, executing, and documenting electrical testing and commissioning activities for building and energy-related projects to ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include reviewing electrical drawings and specifications, performing functional and performance tests on electrical equipment, identifying and troubleshooting issues, and verifying compliance with relevant standards and client requirements. The engineer will coordinate with project managers, design engineers, contractors, and clients to align commissioning schedules, resolve technical issues, and support project handover. The role also includes preparing test reports, maintaining commissioning records, supporting continuous improvement of commissioning procedures, and ensuring adherence to safety and ESG-related practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Electrical Engineering knowledge and practical experience in electrical systems and infrastructure.
• Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Testing and Testing procedures for equipment such as switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and control panels.
• Candidates should possess experience working as Commissioning Engineers, including planning, executing, and documenting commissioning activities.
• Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical faults, performance issues, and system integration problems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; diploma holders with relevant experience may also be considered.
• Knowledge of industry standards, electrical safety regulations, and relevant Malaysian codes and certifications is advantageous.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
