Maltem Asia is currently seeking a Patch Management Engineer / Manager for our client in the Education domain.

Role:Patch Management Engineer / Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end patch management lifecycle for desktops, laptops and supported IT infrastructure.
• Monitor patch releases, security bulletins and vulnerability disclosures.
• Assess patch applicability, risk and potential operational impact.
• Recommend patch priority classifications and mitigation measures for vulnerabilities without available patches.
• Coordinate patch testing using designated test groups before wider deployment.
• Deploy approved security updates, critical updates, firmware and other applicable patches.
• Monitor patch deployment progress and investigate unsuccessful installations.
• Coordinate emergency patching activities in accordance with required timelines.
• Maintain up-to-date asset and patch compliance records.
• Prepare monthly patch status, compliance and deployment reports.
• Coordinate with endpoint management, security and infrastructure teams to resolve patching issues.

Requirements

• Relevant IT qualification or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience in patch management, endpoint management or IT infrastructure operations.
• Knowledge of Windows patching and security update deployment.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM or other patch management tools.
• Understanding of vulnerability management, patch risk assessment and deployment testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and reporting skills.
• Previous responsibility for coordinating patch management activities is an advantage for managerial positions.
