Job Summary

The IDM Buyer is responsible for managing purchasing activities, sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) based on material requirements.
• Source and evaluate suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and good-quality materials.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Monitor material availability, order status, and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with internal departments, including Planning, Production, Warehouse, and Finance.
• Follow up on urgent or delayed deliveries to avoid production interruptions.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier documentation.

Job Requirements

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience will be an advantage.

Job-Related Skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in purchase order (PO) creation and order tracking.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
