We are partnered with an established organisation looking to establish an exploratory, high-impact Systems Reliability Engineering practice across their Asia-Pacific modern workplace and digital operations.

Rather than accepting traditional, reactive desktop support loops, you will partner directly with leadership to define, pilot, and scale modern reliability engineering, deep endpoint observability, and event-driven self-healing across the regional estate.

What You Will Do:

• Deploy and operationalise monitoring tools alongside Microsoft Intune and Graph API to capture endpoint health anomalies before end users experience friction.
• Write production-grade auto-remediation scripts and event-driven runbooks (using Python, PowerShell, and Graph API) that resolve endpoint failures silently or trigger automated diagnostics directly to L2 operations.
• Systematically identify repetitive manual processes, such as driver distribution, patch rollouts, device configuration, and recovery workflows and replace them with Infrastructure-as-Code and automated pipelines.
• Work alongside the regional lead to establish meaningful Service Level Indicators, Service Level Objectives, and Error Budgets tailored to digital workplace services.
• Serve as the regional escalation authority for complex systemic reliability issues, running root-cause investigations and implementing preventative engineering fixes.

Requirements:

• Proven capability writing automation scripts and API integrations from scratch using Python, PowerShell, Bash, Microsoft Graph API, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Practical experience working with endpoint experience/DEX platforms (e.g., Nexthink, 1E, Lakeside) or modern metrics/telemetry stacks (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, ELK, Grafana).
• Solid familiarity with enterprise endpoint platforms, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Windows 10/11 fleet management, macOS/iOS, or cloud identity (Azure / Entra ID).
• Engineering Mindset & Ambiguity Navigation: A self-starter who enjoys exploratory initiatives, building proof-of-concepts, and designing operating patterns alongside leadership.
• Welcoming candidates from high-velocity technology companies, digital-native firms, or regulated enterprise setups. Candidates joining from tech companies should be open to adapting to the compliance, security, and governance standards of enterprise banking.
