The Junior Baker is an entry-level production role supporting daily kitchen operations while learning and following the company's SOP. Suitable for candidates new to the trade or early in their baking career.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic production tasks — weighing, shaping, baking, and simple finishing work — as instructed.
• Follow SOP for baking temperature and time under supervision.
• Support cleaning and organising of the kitchen, tools, and equipment as per the food safety and hygiene SOP.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and arranging incoming stock/ingredients.
• Learn recipes, processes, and quality standards through on-the-job training from the Senior Baker, Assistant Chief Baker, or Chief Baker.
• Follow the assigned schedule, report on time, and complete assigned tasks reliably.
• Escalate any issues, mistakes, or safety concerns to a senior team member immediately.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience; fresh entrants to the baking trade are welcome.
• Candidates with a relevant bakery/culinary certification (Diploma or Certificate in Baking or Pastry Arts) will be a strong advantage.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions closely.
• Basic English reading ability preferred (for SOP and labelling).
• Physically able to handle standing and kitchen tasks for full shifts.
• Punctual, disciplined, and cooperative with the team.
