Responsibilities

Set the overall training strategy, process, and roadmap across all Training sections, ensuring each has a clear, distinct scope with no overlap or gaps.

Build, scale, coach, and evaluate Training sections - hold them accountable for outcomes without micromanaging how they get there.

Identify gaps in each Training section's scope, clarity, or decision-making, and resolve them directly.

Lead, coach, and grow Training Leads and Senior Training Specialists into stronger leaders.

Track and report training effectiveness and org-wide capability gaps to leadership.

Act as the final decision-maker on training strategy, structure, and priorities when sections can't align on their own.

Continuously improve how the Training team operates, structures itself, and measures its own impact.

Own headcount planning and the hiring roadmap for the entire Training team, in line with company plans.

Set the quality bar for training content and delivery across all sections, and personally review or spot-check work when needed to keep that bar high.

Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in training including at least 5 years of experience leading a team

Track record of building or scaling a team or function from an early stage.

Strong judgment on when to step in and when to let leads own their scope.

Able to operate comfortably above the standard expectations of this level - our pace is demanding, and we look for people who can rise to it.

Strong communication and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across teams.

Strong commitment to excellence, a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, and full ownership of responsibilities and outcomes.

Nice to have: Experience setting up or restructuring a team/function from the ground up, not just running an existing one.
