Job Summary

We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage project costing, tender preparation, contract administration and procurement documentation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender submissions, monitoring project costs and coordinating with internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tender & ePerolehan Management

• Identify and monitor government and private sector tender opportunities.
• Search and monitor tender advertisements through ePerolehan and other relevant procurement platforms.
• Manage company registration, profile updates and documentation on tender portals.
• Review tender requirements, specifications and submission conditions.
• Prepare, compile and coordinate tender documents and proposals.
• Manage tender submissions and ensure compliance with requirements and deadlines.
• Monitor tender status, evaluation results and award announcements.

2. Quantity Surveying & Cost Management

• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets and tender pricing.
• Carry out quantity take-off and measurement of works.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BQ).
• Analyse construction drawings, specifications and scope of works.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare cost comparisons and pricing analysis.
• Monitor and control project costs throughout implementation.

3. Contract & Project Administration

• Assist in preparing and managing progress claims.
• Evaluate subcontractor payment claims.
• Manage Variation Orders (VO) and changes in project scope.
• Assist in contract documentation and commercial matters.
• Coordinate with project teams, suppliers and subcontractors.

4. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare tender summaries, cost reports and commercial reports.
• Maintain an updated database of tenders, quotations and project costing.
• Ensure all tender, quotation and contract documents are properly organized and updated.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Quantity Surveying or construction cost management.
• Experience in tender preparation and submission for government and private sector projects.
• Familiarity with ePerolehan and other procurement platforms is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, cost estimation and pricing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
