Hiring for a manufacturing client on a new site in Perak and looking for a Training Manager to own technical capability building from start-up through production ramp-up.

The role

Own the training strategy, annual plan and budget

Build skills matrices, role-based curricula and certification pathways

Design onboarding and qualification programmes for operators, technicians, engineers and supervisors

Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality and EHS on hands-on technical training

Launch a train-the-trainer and internal instructor certification programme

Lead the Engineering Development Programme

Track impact through KPIs such as safety, quality, productivity, scrap and rework

Manage training providers, university partners and HRD Corp claims

️ Must-have manufacturing/technical background

Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field

Technical training experience in electronics, electrical products, power conversion or precision manufacturing

Working knowledge of process control, standard work, ESD, test-method training, root-cause analysis and lean

Strong grounding in QMS, audit readiness and safety training

Expertise in instructional design, competency frameworks and train-the-trainer methods

Big plus: experience setting up training for a new site or production ramp-up

Experience: 8+ years overall, including 2+ years leading technical training in manufacturing.

Ideal profile: L&D person who is hands-on, data-driven and a confident facilitator, and who can make complex technical content simple for shop-floor and leadership audiences alike.
