Job Summary
The Head of Customer Distribution Management is responsible for developing and executing Zurich's customer and distribution strategy to drive profitable growth, enhance customer engagement, strengthen distribution partnerships, and deliver a consistent market-leading customer experience.
The role leads the distribution management function across multiple channels, including brokers, agents, bancassurance, affinity partners, digital channels, and strategic alliances. The incumbent ensures Zurich is viewed as the preferred insurance partner by customers and distribution partners while delivering sustainable business performance aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.
Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the Customer Distribution Management strategy aligned with Zurich's business objectives and growth ambitions.
- Lead the development of long-term distribution plans across all customer segments and distribution channels.
- Identify market opportunities, emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive threats to drive strategic decision-making.
- Champion customer-centric transformation initiatives that improve acquisition, retention, and customer lifetime value.
Distribution Management
- Lead and optimize the performance of all distribution channels including brokers, intermediaries, agents, partnerships, digital platforms, and corporate distribution networks.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key strategic distribution partners.
- Develop channel strategies that maximize market penetration, customer reach, and profitability.
- Drive acquisition and retention initiatives through effective distribution management and partnership development.
Customer Strategy & Experience
- Establish a holistic customer engagement framework to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy.
- Collaborate with Customer Experience, Marketing, Claims, Underwriting, and Operations teams to ensure seamless customer journeys.
- Monitor customer insights, feedback, and market intelligence to identify opportunities for service enhancement.
- Drive initiatives focused on Net Promoter Score (NPS), customer retention, and customer experience excellence.
Business Development & Growth
- Deliver sustainable premium growth and profitability across customer and distribution portfolios.
- Identify new revenue opportunities through strategic partnerships and innovative distribution models.
- Lead negotiations and commercial agreements with key distribution partners.
- Monitor business performance, pipeline development, and growth opportunities.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Act as Zurich's senior representative with key brokers, distributors, industry bodies, and strategic partners.
- Foster strong internal collaboration across underwriting, claims, finance, operations, risk, and technology functions.
- Influence senior stakeholders and executive leadership teams to support strategic business initiatives.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing distribution management teams.
- Establish a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Build organizational capabilities to support future growth and market competitiveness.
- Drive employee engagement and succession planning within the function.
Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and Zurich policies.
- Maintain robust governance across distribution activities and partner relationships.
- Monitor risk exposures and ensure appropriate controls are implemented.
- Promote ethical business practices and strong risk management discipline.
