We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Control professional who enjoys engaging with customers, resolving account issues and driving timely collections. You will play an important role in managing receivables, reducing overdue accounts and supporting healthy cash flow through effective customer and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive improvements in Daily Sales Outstanding (DSO) through proactive monitoring, follow-up and collection of outstanding receivables.
• Minimise overdue accounts and bad debt exposure through timely customer engagement and effective credit control.
• Proactively engage customers to resolve outstanding Accounts Receivable (AR) issues, disputes and payment delays.
• Prepare and provide customers with accurate Statements of Account (SOA) within the first week of each month.
• Conduct regular follow-ups on outstanding payments and ensure timely closure of collection matters, including the issuance of reminder letters in line with agreed Collection Treatment Plan (CTP).
• Prepare and update credit control and AR reports within required timelines, including APMB, AR Meeting, clearing reports and other ad hoc reports requested by the Credit Manager.
• Conduct periodic customer credit limit reviews and support appropriate credit control actions.
• Identify potential bad-debt accounts early and maintain clear, chronological follow-up records for escalation to the Credit Manager.
• Coordinate cheque collections and other payment-related arrangements with customers, where required.
• Ensure customer payments are allocated accurately and promptly to maintain up-to-date account records.
• Work closely with both internal stakeholders and external customers to resolve billing, payment and credit-related matters.
• Understand customers’ SOP and billing requirements and collaborate with Operations to ensure adherence, helping to minimise billing disputes and payment delays.
• Support fellow team members and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Credit Control function.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong ownership, follow-through and attention to detail.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable. However, fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• This position is to be based at USJ, Selangor.
