Role Description The MEP Project Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Petaling Jaya. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across project lifecycles, from planning and design review to installation and commissioning. Day-to-day activities include managing project schedules and budgets, preparing and reviewing submittals, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal teams, and ensuring adherence to technical specifications and relevant standards. The MEP Project Manager will monitor site progress, resolve technical and coordination issues, oversee quality and safety compliance, and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders. The role also involves supporting procurement activities, verifying MEP-related documentation, and driving continuous improvement in project delivery.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) knowledge, including practical experience in plumbing systems and coordination of building services.
• Candidates should possess project management skills, including experience in planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Candidates should possess budgeting and cost control skills, with the ability to track expenditures, forecast costs, and support procurement decisions.
• Candidates should possess experience preparing, reviewing, and managing technical submittals, drawings, and specifications for MEP works.
• Candidates should possess relevant academic qualifications, such as a diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering, or a related field.
• Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to MEP installations.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in using project management and engineering-related software; experience with CAD or BIM tools is an advantage.
• Candidates should possess a track record of managing on-site construction or fit-out projects; prior experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional projects is beneficial.
