Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting functions, including financial reporting, project accounting, accounts receivable and payable, statutory compliance, and audit support.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong analytical skills, particularly within the construction or project-based industry.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & Reporting

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure timely monthly and yearly financial closing.
• Maintain accurate general ledger and accounting records.
• Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow planning, and forecasting.

Project Accounting

• Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
• Track project profitability and cost performance.
• Prepare project cost analysis and management reports.
• Ensure proper accounting of project accruals and retention sums.

Accounts Receivable & Payable

• Prepare progress billings and customer claims.
• Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Verify supplier and subcontractor invoices.
• Prepare payment schedules and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile customer and supplier accounts.

Compliance, Audit & Taxation

• Support SST, tax, and statutory compliance matters.
• Prepare schedules for auditors and tax agents.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in process improvement and internal control initiatives.

RequirementsQualifications

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in the construction, engineering, or project-based industry will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Full Set Accounting.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
