Lead IT Operations & Drive Digital Transformation | Senior IT Manager | Petaling Jaya

Our client, a well-established higher education organisation, is seeking a Senior IT Manager to lead end-to-end IT operations while driving digital transformation, AI adoption, and data-driven innovation.

The Role

Lead, shape, and transform a broad, multi-disciplinary IT environment:

  • Lead IT service delivery across service desk, networks, servers, cloud platforms, and data centre
  • Drive AI adoption, data analytics, reporting dashboards, and process automation initiatives
  • Oversee the IT project portfolio, spanning infrastructure upgrades and digital transformation programmes
  • Oversee cybersecurity controls, IT governance, risk management, audit compliance, and business continuity
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, vendor performance, and technical specifications
  • Review technical designs, coordinate system integration, and resolve complex implementation challenges

What We're Looking For

A technically strong IT leader with breadth, vision, and delivery capability:

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • At least 7 years of IT experience, including team leadership, IT operations, or project delivery
  • Solid background in IT infrastructure, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, and system integration
  • Demonstrated track record managing IT projects, budgets, vendor relationships, and service delivery
  • Familiarity with AI, data analytics, business intelligence, automation, and IT governance frameworks
  • Relevant certifications (ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, COBIT, cloud, or similar) and higher education experience are an advantage
